Eleven days left. On August 14, Summer Anime Wave closes, the panel picks its last wave winner, and the grand prize gets decided: one year of Crunchyroll Premium plus one year of Discord Nitro, going to the best competitor across all three waves.

If you've been meaning to enter, this is the post telling you the window is closing.

Where the campaign stands

Since July 20, the community has been building original anime companions across three themed waves, posting entries on Discord and sharing them on our subreddit. The wave channels have filled with isekai arrivals, and the leaderboard has been shifting every week as entries and invites stack points.

The final wave is live now. Its winner takes the last $50 Amazon or Steam gift card, and then the panel looks across the whole campaign for the grand prize pick.

Still time to enter (yes, really)

Two minutes is all an entry takes: generate your original anime-style companion on Lovescape, drop the images or videos in the wave channel on Discord, done.

And the math favors late entries more than you'd think:

  • The wave prize is judged per wave. A great entry this week competes only against this wave's field, not everything since July.
  • The bonus draw runs on points. Entries, subreddit shares with the campaign flair, and friend invites all still count. Every point earned before August 14 improves your odds in the end-of-campaign raffle for extra gift cards and chip drops.
  • The grand prize rewards the full body of work, but a single exceptional entry has made panels argue before. Ask any judge.

Making a late entry count

If you're starting today, three shortcuts from what's worked across the campaign:

  1. Original characters only, as always. No existing anime characters or franchises. Archetypes are your friends: the battle-ready companion, the festival companion, the cyberpunk drifter, the magical heroine. Capture the season's mood in someone who's yours.
  2. Build before you generate. Entries from well-defined companions consistently beat one-shot prompts. Ten minutes on creation shows in the output.
  3. Motion stands out. Still images fill the channel; a short video clip of your companion stops the scroll. Every video model now carries the full action library, so pick the engine whose style fits your character.

The standing rules haven't moved: no lovescape.com watermark on Reddit posts, fake or alt invites disqualify, and every entry lives inside the same hard limits as everything on Lovescape. Every character 18+, fully original, no real people.

The dates that matter

  • Now through August 14: final wave open, points still counting
  • August 14: campaign closes
  • After close: final wave winner, grand prize, and bonus draw announced on Discord

The bottom line

Three waves, one summer, and eleven days left on the clock. The grand prize is a full year of anime summer, and the entry fee is two minutes and an idea.
