The biggest anime season of the year is here, and your perfect companion is part of it. Today we're launching Summer Anime Wave, a cross-platform contest running from July 20 to August 14 across our Discord and Reddit communities, with prizes built for real anime fans.
How it works
The campaign runs in three waves, each with its own theme. Create an original anime-style companion on Lovescape, post your images or videos in the wave channel on Discord, and you're in. Entry takes two minutes.
Wave 1 theme: Isekai Arrival. You just woke up in another world. Who's waiting for you there? Create your original anime-style companion and place them somewhere strange, somewhere different from what they're used to. Wave 1 closes July 26.
The prizes
- Each wave: a $50 Amazon or Steam gift card for the best entry of the wave, picked by our panel.
- Grand prize: 1 year of Crunchyroll Premium plus 1 year of Discord Nitro. A full year of anime summer, going to the best competitor across all three waves. Every wave you enter builds your case.
- Bonus draw: extra gift cards raffled at the end, plus surprise chip drops. More points, better odds.
All prizes are virtual and internationally fulfillable. No shipping, no borders.
Earning points
- Post an entry in the wave channel on Discord: 1 point
- Share it on our subreddit with the "Summer Anime Wave" flair and link it in the wave channel: 2 points
- A friend joins the Discord server through your invite link: 5 points
Check the standings anytime with the leaderboard command on Discord. Two rules to keep it fair: never post images with the lovescape.com watermark on Reddit, and fake or alt-account invites don't count and disqualify you from the draw.
Making your entry
If you're new here, the path is short: sign up, create your anime companion, generate. A few pointers for a strong entry:
- Original characters only. No existing anime characters, no franchise recreations. The contest celebrates what you create, and original entries are the only valid ones.
- Build her properly first. A companion with a defined look and personality generates far better images and videos than a rushed one. Ten minutes on creation pays off in every entry.
- Think archetypes, not titles. Fantasy adventurers, cyberpunk companions, spirit hunters, magical heroines, dark anti-heroes. Capture the mood of the season in your own character.
- Video counts too. A five-second clip of your companion arriving in another world hits harder than a still. Every video model carries the full action library now, so pick your engine for its style.
And the standing line: every entry lives inside the same hard limits as everything on Lovescape. Every character 18+, fully original, no real people.
